This week, I participated in 4 daily creates. The first one I did was on Sunday and it was to create an invitation card/poster to the TDC-party. As you can see here, this is what my party poster looks like. I created my poster using Canva. For my background, I tried to make it party themed and fun, but I also wanted to add a funny Spongebob meme about partying.
On Monday, I decided to do my second daily create, which was an affirmation poster. We had to create an affirmation poster that was original. I also used Canva to create this one. I was trying to think of what I wanted to do, so I thought of a positive quote I tell myself everyday. Also, since I love flowers, I added some flowers and a purple flower background. I even got 2 replies saying it was beautiful which made me happy.
The third daily create I did was on Wednesday, and it was to look at Keith Haring’s work and make our own interpretation of it. I had a lot of fun with this one. First, I looked up some of his work to get an idea, then I drew my own picture that was inspired by his work. I then downloaded Colorscape and used the app to add color to my drawing. Overall, I thought it turned out really well. Below are the after and before pictures!
The last daily create I did was on Thursday, and it was to make a creative caption for the picture below. I edited the picture first, removing all of the writing on it with the app TouchRetouch, then drew a stick figure and used the app Colorscape again to add color to the stick figures. I then added my caption, “When you’re supposed to be taking notes in class, but instead you’re just doodling.” I thought it was a funny, creative caption and is very relatable to a lot of students, and I think the picture fits the caption.
